As individuals and as a team, we always strive to be better, whether that means being a better partner to your business or being a better member of our community. In that spirit, we are happy to shine out spotlight on:

Steve Berman, Senior Account Executive

We recently sat down with Steve to learn a little about him and his experience as a member of the Benjamin Office Supply Family.

How long have you worked at Benjamin Office Supply?

Just shy of 4 years.

Which department do you work in and what is your role there?

I work in Sales as a Senior Account Executive.

What is an “average” workday like for you?

I start out with a 6:30am workout at the gym to get my body and mind strong for the day. Then I catch up on a few emails and plan my day. It usually consists of some cold calling or prospecting. Then I visit a few of my regular customers and make sure everything is good with them or see if they need anything from me. Mid-late afternoon I come back to the office and respond to emails and voice mails from clients.

What’s your favorite part about working at Benjamin?

I love the team atmosphere and camaraderie that we have developed. Everyone has a super-positive attitude and is more than willing to help each other out so at the end of the day we all succeed.

I also love working with my customers and putting a smile on their face at the end of the day, knowing that I made their day just a little easier by helping them out.

If you could take one book, movie, or music album with you to a desert island, what would it be?

Jimmy Buffet’s Greatest Hits album! Listening to his music always relaxes me and puts me in a great mood.

What’s your favorite way to relax?

Believe it or not I love to exercise! A relaxing time for me is to go out and ride 2-30 miles on the bike. It gives me an opportunity to let my mind wander away from everything bad going on in the world today. I have a chance to collect my thoughts.

Describe your dream vacation!

I would truly love to go to South Africa on a safari. I love watching all the nature and animal shows on TV and it has always been a dream of mine to go one day.

Tell us about your family!

I have been happily married for 37 years and have 2 fabulous boys who are both married as well. I also have two 6-year-old identical twin granddaughters, whom I adore. My one son is a Vice President of IT for a company in Annapolis, and my other son owns a dental practice in Easton. I love spending time with my family.

My hobbies are exercising, golf, and cycling, as well as enjoying a good Tequila.
